Chicken Run
The Chicken Run slot machine is a cartoon-style online casino game developed by Eyecon Ltd., one of the leading software providers in the iGaming industry. The game is based on the popular 2000 British comedy film "Chicken Run," directed by Nick Park and Peter Lord, which tells the story of a group of chickens who hatch an escape plan to fly south for the winter.
Theme and Design
As expected Chicken Run from any themed slot machine, Chicken Run’s theme revolves around farm animals, particularly chickens. The game is set on a rural farm with rolling hills, wooden fences, and green pastures. Players are transported to a world where they can interact with their favorite movie characters in an entertaining and immersive experience.
The graphics and animations of the game are colorful and vibrant, with cute 3D-style chicken characters, farmers, and other animals that roam around the reels. The backgrounds and special effects also contribute to creating a lively atmosphere, making players feel like they’re part of the story.
Symbols
As you’d expect from an Eyecon-developed slot machine, Chicken Run features standard symbols consisting of card values (9-10-J-Q-K) in different colors and a range of themed icons:
- Low-paying Symbols:
- Card Values 9 through K
- Red Hen (chickens)
- Farmer
- High-Paying Symbols:
- Ginger the Rooster (scatter symbol)
- The Piper, a sly rooster with no specific function other than being part of the theme
Payouts and Multipliers
The payouts for Chicken Run are moderate to low. While some wins can reach up to 2500 times your bet in the base game, they rarely go above that amount without activating one of the features mentioned below.
Here’s an overview of the payout amounts:
- Card values (9-10-J-Q-K) : Low-value symbols with relatively low payouts:
- Card Values 9 and 10
- Card Value J: pays out 15 for two, and up to 150 for five in a row.
- Card Values Q and K: pay slightly more than the previous ones but are still low value.
Wild Symbols
While there is no true wild symbol, Ginger the Rooster acts as both a Scatter Symbol (explained below) and Wild when appearing on any of the reels. In this case, it functions exactly like other Wilds by filling in for missing symbols to complete winning combinations.
Ginger can also be used as part of its scatter function if you land three or more Roosters on the same payline at once; however, these will not count towards consecutive combinations made using wild characters from those Scattered images. So while they act similarly enough – sometimes being considered "wild"- they won’t behave like one when contributing towards making up your hand worth something during normal gameplay!
Scatter Symbols
Ginger the Rooster is also a Scatter Symbol that can appear on reels 1-5, but its actual function as such occurs differently. In this game version, when Ginger lands on these spots and triggers special events based off combinations formed with them rather than just any particular pattern seen elsewhere within standard slots (i.e., three or more), he grants free games – specifically ‘Free Games’ mode!
The key difference here though compared against typical slot machines using Wilds everywhere else isn’t solely about usage patterns themselves; nor only how many positions occupy at time when matched together successfully – rather focusing simply around getting "Frees." For these, no need think overly hard since five roosters give twenty free rounds right off!
